Elena Carraway – Minister of Global Missons and Local Outreach, Student Ministry

Elena Carraway is as an ordained preacher, teacher, and mentor serving in various ministry contexts, cultures, and communities. Compassionately utilizing a relational style and unique combination of gifts in the area of evangelism and discipleship she presents God’s Word in an easily relatable style to youth, young adults, and adults. She has served as the key-note speaker, facilitator, and teacher for conferences, workshops, and Bible study groups covering various topics, including: youth programming, evangelism, missions, discipleship, spiritual formation, abstinence, parenting, and practical life skills.

She has served as an active member of the  St. John Church for more than a decade. She is  mother to three young adults.   A native of California, she currently resides in North Texas. Elena holds a Master of Global Leadership and a Master of Student Ministry from the Gary C. Cook Graduate School of Leadership at Dallas Baptist University. Continuing to develop in ministerial excellence, she is pursuing a doctoral studies program in missions and intercultural studies.

With a belief that every person must be reached and every believer taught, Elena developed the evangelism and discipleship ministries. She  serves as a board member for several non-profit organizations.  Driven by a clear call to be a global catalyst for the advancement of the good news of Jesus Christ, she encourages others to live missionally.  Fulfilling God’s plan for her life, Elena continues to serve as an advocate and hands-on partner in youth ministries, safe houses, shelters, prisons, community organizations, and development centers across the globe.
